Anyway, this has been a great way to keep family and friends posted on all that's happening with us as we move around. I find it fitting that I started this blog in the fall, as leaves are changing. After all, this blog has been a diary of changes in our lives. Thanks for following along!
Back in my first blog post I talked about missing the bursts of red and orange in the fall colors up in North Dakota. This year, out east, the story is much different.
Last weekend we went to a boat show in Annapolis, MD. What a charming little city! I instantly fell in love. To add to the charm, we toured the Naval Academy and caught glimpses of fall everywhere we looked.
Every time I see turning leaves I think how they've basked in the sun all summer. The glowing golds and bursts of orange are like a tan, telling the leaves' story without words. I guess that would make this next one a farmer's tan...
Sitting under this gem, I felt like we were being shielded from the sun. Well, we were. Sort of. But rather than being kept in the dark we could enjoy the light through the bright leaves.
A golden canopy. Aaaahhh, I love fall. What a great time to celebrate changes... and an anniversary!
